NEON NASHVILLE Neon Nashville didn’t come out of Nashville. They came out of Macon, Georgia, five musicians who found each other, found their sound, and decided they didn’t need anybody’s permission to make a record. There’s Jaxx, Trey, Bongo, Mikey, and Cassie—five very different personalities who somehow discovered that the combination was exactly right. Their music carries the roots of country music—fiddle, steel, guitars, Southern storytelling and big, unforgettable choruses—but Neon Nashville has never been interested in fitting neatly into somebody else’s definition of country. Their sound is modern, loud, melodic and unapologetically their own. The first time around, the music business wasn't interested. Six major record companies passed on them. So they made the record themselves. They released it independently, found an audience organically, and kept working. The audience grew. The songs started traveling. Streaming numbers climbed. People started showing up. And eventually, the same industry that had said no started calling. Neon Nashville hasn't forgotten who believed in them first. The audience did.
