P Dog — Palermo Recorders P Dog is Palermo Recorders' animated house band: a virtual outfit fronted by a rotating cast of illustrated characters, blending genre-hopping production with a visual identity as much a part of the music as the songs themselves. Equal parts cartoon crew and recording act, P Dog exists somewhere between a band and a moving comic strip — hip-hop-inflected beats, warped guitar tones, and lo-fi psychedelia stitched together under one loose, animated mythology. Stylistically, P Dog sits in that same lineage of genre-blurring, visually-driven virtual acts — trip-hop textures, street-art aesthetics, offbeat sample work, and a too-cool-to-explain-itself attitude. Whatever that sound is — smoky, slouchy, half-animated, half-real — that's the pocket P Dog lives in. Their debut single, "Lucky You," sets the tone: a hazy, mid-tempo groove wrapped in the crew's signature bootleg-tape visual world, introducing the mascot and the label's first fully animated release.
